Welcome to a new school year! We’re excited to partner with you and share the many Learning Commons resources available to support student learning at home.
Families can borrow a wide variety of books and learning tools throughout the year to enhance student learning, including: Sora – a student-friendly reading app that provides access to eBooks and audiobooks; Subscriptions – a collection of online research tools, databases, videos, and educational resources; Unit Study Kits – cross-curricular kits aligned with BC curriculum standards primarily in Social Studies and Science; Hands-on Resources – access a wide selection of books, Maker Kits, robotics, microscopes, and more through our Search Portal.

Announcements & Reminders
- Back to School Sale! Save on gently used curriculum in all subject areas. Up to 25% off the reduced price! Teaching Textbooks Curriculum is on sale! Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus. This curriculum is being discontinued by the company, as it will soon only be offered as a subscription. The discs must be installed on a computer before December 31st, 2025. Originally $240, sets are on sale for $45 or less!
Resource Updates & Tips
- Welcome Back, Readers! Encourage your child to join our 15-book challenge by supporting daily reading, helping them set goals, and using wishlists to plan progress.
- The Gizmos subscription has new student class codes. Learn More about Gizmos here.
- Plan your Learning Commons resource shipments – Curriculum can be booked for 13 weeks. Enrolled families can create three shipments per year. For example, one shipment in September, January and April, which can include up to 40 items per shipment. Read more here.
- High school textbooks are available for extended loan periods in the Search Portal.
